Lightstone Group General Counsel, Adriana M. Peters, Joins CSG's Expanding Real Estate Practice

Adriana M. Peters, a seasoned commercial real estate attorney with more than 20 years of in-house and private practice experience, has joined Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) as a member in its Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group.

Peters joins CSG from Lightstone Group, one of the largest, privately-held real estate management and development companies in the country with a commercial real estate portfolio of over 6 million square feet. As Lightstone’s General Counsel, she was deeply involved with commercial leasing and various transactions across the company’s portfolio, and directed legal efforts in regard to acquisition, development, disposition, financing and land use on a national scale. Peters began her career in private practice with a regional firm, and went on to cofound a boutique real estate practice before joining Lightstone.

In returning to private practice with CSG, Peters will draw upon the legal and business insights developed at Lightstone during her nearly two-decade tenure overseeing the acquisition, development, leasing and management of commercial and hospitality assets across the United States. Peters’ particular command of commercial leasing issues spanning all asset types will serve CSG clients well as she helps spearhead the firm’s expanding commercial leasing practice on behalf of local, regional and national owners and tenants. That combination of legal and practical experience – particularly in leasing, development, construction and financing – will bring a valuable perspective to CSG’s transaction and leasing practice.

“CSG offers a robust transaction and commercial leasing platform, a formidable and rapidly expanding roster of attorneys and a first class client base, which I greatly look forward to serving,” said Peters. “I could not ask for a better place from which to launch this next exciting chapter of my career.”

“Adriana is an outstanding attorney with the rare combination of legal and practical experience setting her apart as a savvy advocate for owners, developers and tenants in today’s complex real estate market,” added Mitchell S. Berkey, Co-Chair of CSG’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group. “Her multi-faceted background will, without question, provide a value-add for our sophisticated clientele, which continues to look to CSG for cutting-edge solutions to gain an edge in an increasingly competitive landscape.”

A graduate of Villanova University and Hofstra University School of Law, Peters is licensed to practice in New Jersey and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
