18th Edition of Highly-Regarded NJ Zoning and Land Use "Cox Book," Co-authored by CSG's Lisa John-Basta, Recently Published

Chiesa, Shahinian & Giantomasi’s (“CSG”) Lisa John-Basta has co-authored the 18th edition of Gann Law Book’s, New Jersey Zoning and Land Use Administration, which was published on March 22, 2018 and is currently available in both print and digital.

The book, commonly referred to as the “Cox Book,” is acclaimed as the foremost reference on the intricacies of the Municipal Land Use Law by land use attorneys, land use boards and judges. Published annually since 1966, there have only been two authors – William M. Cox and Stuart R. Koenig – that have penned this valuable guide prior to John-Basta and her current co-author since 2015, Jonathan E. Drill.

John-Basta is a member in CSG’s Real Estate, Development and Land Use Group. She brings more than 13 years of experience representing both municipalities and private developers throughout the land use and redevelopment entitlement process. She regularly appears before governing bodies, planning boards and zoning boards of adjustment on behalf of developers in connection with applications for site plan, subdivision, variances and zoning interpretations. Her clients include national commercial retailers, Fortune 500 companies, healthcare facilities and residential developers.

John-Basta is also the co-author of the Municipal Land Use Law chapter of the Complete Guide to Planning in New Jersey (2010 Third Edition, published by the American Planning Association, New Jersey Chapter).
