Dennis Toft Inducted into American College of Environmental Lawyers

CSG today announced that Dennis M. Toft, chair of the firm’s environmental law group, has been inducted into the American College of Environmental Lawyers (“ACOEL”).

The ACOEL is a national association of legal professionals dedicated to maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal levels. An invitation-only organization, the ACOEL comprises a select group of the most preeminent attorneys in the field.

Toft, a resident of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, is widely recognized as one of the state’s leading environmental lawyers. He counsels clients on all aspects of environmental law, including regulatory counseling, environmental due diligence, permitting, enforcement and environmental litigation, development/redevelopment and environmental insurance. Known as one of New Jersey’s leading Brownfields redevelopment practitioners, Toft regularly appears before the state’s Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, municipal land use boards and state and federal courts.

“It’s an honor to be named to the ACOEL — the premier national organization for environmental attorneys — and to participate in the important work it does to develop impactful environmental legislation that contributes to the betterment of our society,” said Toft. “The environmental practice at Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi is one of the few practice groups in New Jersey with multiple members in the ACOEL, and the unique knowledge we are able to gain from the organization enables us to provide an unparalleled level of service to our clients.”
