Judge Patricia Costello Honored with the New Jersey Law Journal's 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi, PC (CSG Law) is proud to announce the Honorable Patricia Costello has been selected by the New Jersey Law Journal to receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. For the second year, the New Jersey Law Journal carefully selected noteworthy attorneys who have influenced the law in New Jersey. According to the New Jersey Law Journal’s article announcing the winners, “the worthiness of the 25 lawyers who are included here is indisputable.”

Judge Costello is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Employment Groups. She served more than 25 years as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge, including the last decade as the Assignment Judge in Essex County. Judge Costello concentrates her practice on mediation and arbitration of civil, chancery and matrimonial matters including probate, commercial litigation and labor and employment disputes.

During her tenure as Assignment Judge, Judge Costello had judicial responsibility for all trial courts in the county, in charge of handling the county’s municipal courts and more than 100,000 filings per year. Judge Costello supervised approximately 1,000 employees and managed a $55 million annual budget for the state’s busiest courthouses.

The winners were honored as part of the New Jersey Law Journal’s Professional Excellence Awards dinner on June 15, 2016.
