Adam Friedman’s practice is concentrated in the fields of fidelity and related insurance, surety, construction, and other complex commercial matters throughout New York and New Jersey.


Adam advises and represents fidelity insurers on all aspects of matters relating to financial institution bonds, commercial crime policies and other types of fidelity insurance involving both standard and proprietary forms. He counsels and represents sureties on all aspects of performance and payment bond claims, subdivision bond claims and claims against other types of bonds, including matters in litigation, arbitration, mediation and bankruptcy. He also advises and represents contractors in a variety of construction-related matters on both public and private projects throughout New York and New Jersey.

In 1992, Adam served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Arthur D. Spatt of the Eastern District of New York. He is a 1991 graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, where he was an editor of the Cardozo Law Review.
